Michaela DePrince, a professional ballerina with roots in South Jersey and Philadelphia, has died at 29 years old.
Michaela's passing was announced in a post on her Instagram Friday, Sept. 13.
"Her life was one defined by grace, purpose, and strength. Her unwavering commitment to her art, her humanitarian efforts, and her courage in overcoming unimaginable challenges will forever inspire us," the post on Instagram reads. A 28-year-old Virginia woman is facing charges in Chester County, PA in connection with the death of a 3-year-old boy, authorities announced.
Imani Lewis was working as the nanny of a 3-year-old, nonverbal boy and called 9-1-1 when he went missing in Tredyffrin Township on Sept. 2, 2024, at approximately 6:50 p.m., the Chester County DA's office said.

Man Holds Ex-Employer Hostage, Threatens To Have His Pit Bull Attack In Norwood: Cops
A Rockland County man is being held in the Bergen County jail after police said he held his former employer and coworkers hostage, demanding money and threatening them with his dog.
Police were called to a business suite on Broad Street in Norwood around 1:50 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, where Wayne Gordon, of New City, NY had come in with his pit bull, removed the dog's muzzle, and threatened to have the dog attack them if they didn't pay him $7,000 that he claimed he was owed, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Federici said.
