Korshak Bagels Closes: More Than Just A Bagel Store
A Philadelphia bagel shop recently named among the best in America has closed its doors.
Korshak Bagels, located at 1700 S. 10th St., shut its doors for the very last time on Sunday, Sept. 24.
Korshak's has been an institution in the community for nearly three years, and rarely was without a line out the door.
Its bagels weren't typical: Think chimichurri slaw and ham on rye, and Pastrami, or carrots and beets pickled in this cardamom, mustard seed, black pepper brine.

DUI Essex County Sheriff's Officer Charged In Wrong-Way Crash That Injured 8: Prosecutor
An Essex County Sheriff's Officer has been charged in a 2022 wrong-way crash that left eight people injured, during which he had been under the influence, authorities in Hudson County said.
Michael Johnson, 36, was under the influence when he drove a Jeep Cherokee east in the westbound lanes of the Route 280 entrance ramp near Harrison Avenue around 11:20 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
Johnson, of Irvington, struck a Chevy Traverse and a Nissan Rogue, leaving eight people injured, Suarez said. He was not on duty at the time of the crash. …

Powerball Tickets Good For $50K Sold In Bergen, Passaic Counties
A pair of Powerball tickets each winning $50,000 were sold in Bergen and Passaic counties.
The winning numbers from the Saturday, Sept. 23 drawing were: 01, 12, 20, 33, and 66. The Red Power Ball number was 21. The Power Play was 2X.
The tickets were sold at the following locations:
