Trapped Driver Rescued After Crashing Car Into House In Hudson Valley A person had to be rescued after crashing into a Hudson Valley home and becoming trapped inside, officials said. The incident happened in Putnam County on Wednesday, Nov. 29 around 12:30 p.m., when a vehicle careened into a home in Brewster, according to the Carmel Fire Department.  Arriving firefighters soon found that a sedan had crashed into the home on Carmel Avenue, injuring the driver and causing them to become trapped inside their car. Lane Closures: Stretch Of I-684 In Northern Westchester To Be Affected For Month A stretch of Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester is set to be affected by a series of upcoming midday lane closures for a month.  Interstate 684 between Exit 6 (Route 35) in Lewisboro and Exit 8 (Hardscrabble Road) in North Salem will be reduced to one lane in both directions on weekdays between Wednesday, Nov. 29, and Thursday, Dec. 28, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.  The lane reduction will be put into effect between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. each weekday, officials said. The reduction will allow crews to perform aerial cable replacements.
