'It Was Magical': Billy Crystal, NY Native, Receives Kennedy Center Honors
Comedian, actor, and filmmaker Billy Crystal, who is from New York, was one of five other iconic figures celebrated at the 46th Kennedy Center Honors.
Billy Crystal, known for his roles in movies such as “When Harry Met Sally...” and “City Slickers,” received his honors at the John F. Kennedy Center Opera House in Washington, DC in a pre-recorded show that was broadcast on Wednesday, Dec. 27.
The 75-year-old Crystal, who was born in the Bronx and later moved to Long Beach on Long Island, was honored alongside Renée Fleming, Queen Latifah, Barry Gibb, and Dionne Warwick.

Schenectady 16-Year-Old Missing Nearly Week May Be Heading To NYC, Police Say
Police are asking for help in locating a 16-year-old New York girl who has been missing for nearly a week and may be traveling over 100 miles away from home.
Amalia Colon, of Schenectady, was last seen on Thursday, April 27, Schenectady Police announced on Wednesday, May 3.
Investigators said the teen may be with a female friend and may have traveled to the Bronx.
Colon is described as a white female, 5-feet-4-inches tall and 120 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a nose piercing.
She was last seen wearing a pink hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans.

A woman who was killed and a daughter who was injured when a small plane crashed on Long Island were fulfilling a lifelong flying dream.
Roma Gupta, age 63, of Whitehouse Station in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, died, while her daughter, Reeva Gupta, age 33, of St. Davids in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, remains in critical condition following the crash in North Lindenhurst on Sunday, March 5.
The plane’s pilot, New York City resident Fayzul Chowdhury, 23, of the Bronx, also remains in critical condition at Stony Brook University Hospital.
