Prior to that she worked at a chain of weekly newspapers on Long Island's North Shore and as a freelance writer for Yankees Magazine. Ridgewood To Issue Warnings For Those Not Following Water Restrictions RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The village will begin issuing warnings to homeowners who are not in compliance with water restrictions. Ridgewood has placed limitations on when homeowners can water their lawns or wash their cars due to a water shortage. "Water conservation is very important to our community so all of us should play our part in supporting this program," said Roberta Sonenfeld,Village Manager. Students Learn Nature Journaling At Glen Rock Arboretum GLEN ROCK, N.J. – Elementary school student will have an opportunity to learn nature journaling in Glen Rock. The Thielke Arboretum, 460 Doremus Avenue, Glen Rock, is hosting its third annual nature journaling workshop for elementary level students. Elvis Impersonator Brings His Blue Suede Shoes To Ridgewood RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Elvis may not be spotted in RIdgewood anytime soon but one impersonator of The King will be performing in the village later this month. The Unitarian Society of Ridgewood will host Tony Grova, who has been impersonating Elvis for 40 years. Grova has performed throughout the United States including Las Vegas, Atlantic City and on Broadway. He has also been seen on Geraldo, Joan Rivers, Oprah and more. Ridgewood Looks For Architects, Engineers For Multi-Level Garage RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The Village of Ridgewood is now accepting Requests for Proposals from architectural and engineering services for the design of a multi-level parking garage on Hudson Street. The traditional self-parking structure will be located at the Hudson Street parking lot, which is currently a 12 hour lot used by commuters. Ridgewood Soccer Association Looking For Coaches RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – The Ridgewood Soccer Association is looking for a few good men or women. The organization runs teams for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade. There are more than 1,300 players in the organization each season. "We need lots of volunteer coaches to help organize the kids and make RSA fun," the organization said. "No coaching experience is required."
