Prior to that she worked at a chain of weekly newspapers on Long Island's North Shore and as a freelance writer for Yankees Magazine. She has a Master's Degree from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. When not working, she enjoys reading, running and spending as much time as possible with her husband and two sons.

Fair Lawn Concert Tunes Out Mental Health Stigma FAIR LAWN, N.J. – The Fair Lawn Community Center will host a concert to promote mental health awareness and reduce the stigma, featuring New Jersey's premier 80's tribute band, Max Headroom. The concert is sponsored by the Foundation at Bergen Regional Medical Center. A portion of the night's proceeds will benefit the Paramus and Fair Lawn Stigma Free Zone initiatives. The night will include entertainment, dinner buffet, beer, wine, soda, and dessert. General Admission is $50. A table of eight is $400.

The candy store, which has more than 100 locations across the country, will celebrate the occasion Saturday with special events including free ice cream and popcorn. Killwins, on Ridgewood Avenue, sells ice cream, candy apples, flavored popcorn and several varieties of chocolate and truffles.

The CRPL was presented with the "Community Giving Award" for its dedication to Ridgewood. The CFRPL was created to provide opportunities for citizens to play an active role in restoring and enhancing Village park lands and open spaces, according to the organization.
