Ben Franklin Middle School Students Get A Jump On The Day RIDGEWOOD, N.J. – Ben Franklin Middle School students who want to get a jump start (literally) on their day can get to school early for open gym.  Starting Sept. 22 children from all grades are welcome to go to the school for Open Gym from 7 to 7:45 a.m. Indoor activities will include basketball and floor hockey. If the weather permits, outdoor activities can include four square and touch football. Students who would like to participate in open gym must check with the to make sure they are medically cleared.  Open Gym will run every Tuesday and Friday mornings starting at 7 a.m.

Closter Police Assist In Proper Disposal Of Unused Medication CLOSTER, N.J. – Got unused drugs? If they're unused or expired prescription medication, the Closter Police Department wants to help you get rid of them. The police department is collecting unused prescription drugs in support of the National Take Back Initiative. Police are asking residents to "take a visible stand against drugs" by making sure they are properly disposed of. The medication will be collected Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Closter Police Department garage/parking lot. Police will be on hand to assist with the disposal. No questions will be asked.

Festival Brings Hispanic Flavor To Englewood ENGLEWOOD, N.J. – It will be a fiesta in Englewood Saturday as the city hosts a Hispanic Heritage Festival. The festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Depot Square, across from the Performing Arts School at bergenPAC.  The festival will feature live music, local vendors and restaurants, dance exhibitions, artists and family activities.
