Shelton Police Seek Jeep In Hit & Run That Closed Street SHELTON, Conn. — Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a Jeep that downed a telephone pole containing PCB material, leaving Poplar Drive closed since Nov. 5. Around 6 a.m. that day, Shelton officers responded to Poplar and Suren drives on a report of a hit-and-run accident, police said. Officers found the pole securing a transformer containing PCB material down across Poplar. They also noticed a fire hydrant had been struck. Investigating officers have determined the damage was caused by a 2002 or 2003 Jeep Liberty, police said. The road had been closed since the accident was re…
