A skillful Clifton police sergeant got taken for a wild and dangerous ride when the driver of a fleeing SUV repeatedly tried to ram his patrol car and run him off the road during a nearly 10-mile pursuit, authorities said. Dishawn Bellamy, 32, and a 17-year-old boy were in a Ford Explorer that sped past two officers headed toward the sound of gunfire in the area of Atkins Avenue and Boston Way in separate cars shortly before 7:30 p.m. on June 5, 2022. State Trooper Hospitalized In Warren County Crash
A state trooper was sent to the hospital after a troop car hit an embankment and overturned in Warren County early on Saturday, Sept. 9, authorities said. The trooper was driving a Ford Explorer state police vehicle near 70 Hissin Rd. in Hope Township when it veered off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned around 4:50 a.m., NJSP Det. Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice. The trooper was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, Lebron added. The crash remains under investigation. No further details were released.

A Jersey City driver who had no license or registration when she was stopped by Carlstadt police got back into her SUV, locked the doors and then crashed into a parked car when she tried to drive off, authorities said. A New Jersey State Trooper was hurt in a crash with another vehicle on Route 519 in Warren County, authorities said. The collision occurred in White Township just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, NJSP Trooper Charles Marchan told Daily Voice. The trooper was attempting to turn right onto Route 519 from the shoulder in a marked Ford Explorer when it collided with a vehicle heading north, Marchan said.
