Man Charged In Thanksgiving Eve Crash That Killed Hackettstown Mom A 51-year-old Hackettstown man was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 4 and charged with vehicular manslaughter following a Thanksgiving Eve crash that killed a 33-year-old mother of two. Andrzej Szysko was heading east in a Jeep Wrangler that struck the passenger's side of a Ford pickup truck, heading south on Route 517 in Allamuchy around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2023, New Jersey State Police said. Thanksgiving Eve Crash Kills Hackettstown Mom Support is on the rise for a New Jersey family whose matriarch died in a crash the day before Thanksgiving. Lauren Gerhold, of Hackettstown, was heading north in a Jeep SUV on Route 517 in Allamuchy Township around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, when a Jeep Wrangler heading east on Ridge Road struck the passenger's side of a Fort pickup truck, heading south on Route 517, New Jersey State Police said.
