Harrington Park Pedestrian Airlifted After Crash
A 59-year-old Harrington Park resident suffered a broken leg when she was struck by a vehicle while walking along the road, authorities said. A 35-year-old female driver from Washington Township hit the woman near the corner of Harriot Avenue and West Shore Road around 7 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, Harrington Park Police Chief Robert Murphy said. Critically Injured Bicyclist Airlifted After Crash Along Hudson River
A bicyclist who was critically injured along the Hudson River below the Palisades was airlifted to the hospital Sunday morning. Unofficial reports from the scene at the Alpine Boat Basin in Palisades Interstate Park are that the 30-year-old bicyclist suffered a punctured lung, among other injuries, in a crash around 10 a.m. Sept. 17. A 69-year-old rider from Hawthorne was airlifted to the hospital after falling off a horse in West Milford, authorities said. The victim was conscious but disoriented and had several small cuts on his face following the mishap at the Echo Lake Stables on Blakely Lane, off Route 23, shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday, June 3, Police Detective Sgt. A 1-year-old boy was severely burned when he pulled a cup of scalding hot coffee from the top of a TV in the family living room, Garfield police said. A victim in an ATV crash near the Wanaque Reservoir was being airlifted to the hospital late Friday afternoon into early evening. Allendale Man Seriously Injured In Fall From Ladder In Park Ridge
A man was airlifted to the hospital after falling from a ladder at a Park Ridge home over the weekend. The 35-year-old victim from Allendale was unconscious and bleeding from the head when police arrived at the West Park Avenue home off Pascack Road just after 2 p.m. Sunday, Capt. Joseph Rampolla said. A medevac was requested due to the nature of the injury, which occurred when the victim fell from a 6-foot A-frame ladder, the captain said. A 20-year-old victim was airlifted from the parking lot of a Hillsdale swim club Sunday night with severe burns. AirMed One flew the victim to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston with burns on his arms and throat after police, firefighters and EMS were summoned to the Stonybrook Swim Club on Cedar Lane off Piermont Avenue around 10 p.m., responders said.
