A popular BBQ joint in Hackettstown is adding even more sweetness to its menu by expanding with a handmade ice cream and dessert shop.

The Sizzle Ice Creams & Sweets is opening Thursday, Sept. 7 in the space adjacent to The Sizzle BBQ on Main Street in Hackettstown.

The announcement came in a Wednesday Instagram post shared between its main page and its newly created page, TheSizzleIceCreams — but a "surprise" was hinted at several weeks ago on the restaurant’s Facebook:

After filling up on delicious barbeque chicken, empanadas, quesadillas, and more, customers can walk next door to indulge in all of their favorite desserts, which will include a huge range of handmade ice cream, milkshakes, crepes, and more.

The ice cream shop will also have its own entrance for those just looking for a quick bite — or sip — of sweetness.

The new spot will also offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

“Your ultimate dessert destination awaits!” reads the post.
