Police in Hunterdon County are searching for clues after four suspects were caught on surveillance footage attempting to steal an ATM from the drive-thru lane of a Chase Bank using a stolen pickup truck early Monday morning.

Officers responding to the attempted theft at Chase Bank at 318 Rt. 31 in Flemington found an unoccupied pickup truck next to the machine in the drive-thru lane shortly before 2:30 a.m., Raritan Township police said.

The truck was later found to be stolen, police said.

The suspects were caught on surveillance footage running from the scene before police arrived, authorities said.

An NJSP helicopter arrived to search the area with officers from surrounding towns, but the suspects were not found, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at (908) 782-8889.
