KNOW ANYTHING? Police Seek Clues After Driver Throws Dogs Out Car Window On Route 202

Police in Hunterdon County are searching for clues after a witness reported seeing a driver throw two small dogs out a car window on Route 202 Friday morning.

The unidentified driver pulled to the shoulder of the southbound side of the highway near Railroad Ave. in Readington Township and threw the dogs out the window just after 5:20 a.m., local police said.

The mixed-breed tan and black colored dogs, estimated to be between 20 and 40 pounds, were then struck and killed by passing cars, police said.
