2 Hospitalized In Tractor-Trailer Crash That Closed Portion Of Rt. 80 For Hours: State Police

Two people were taken to a nearby hospital after a tractor-trailer crashed into several trees along the median of Route 80, closing a portion of the highway for hours on Monday afternoon, Sept. 11, state police said.

The tractor-trailer was heading westbound when it veered off the roadway and struck several trees along the median near milepost 21.2 in Allamuchy around 4:05 p.m., NJSP Det. Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice.

Both occupants were hospitalized for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Lebron added.

The crash shut down a portion of Route 80 near the westbound near the rest area in Allamuchy for several hours, causing traffic delays, according to 511NJ:
