Born in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late William Gontar and Clementine Boleshevski. She was married soon after high school and worked part time as a switchboard operator for New York Telephone and the Poughkeepsie Journal. She lived her life as a devout Christian and always loved her rosary. She is survived by two sons, Dr. William J.
