Joe Gomez has worked in news rooms all across the world.

He started as a radio news reporter at Newsradio 850 KOA in Denver shortly after leaving the University of Colorado at Boulder. Gomez then went on to work as a reporter in Seattle, Houston, Dallas and Washington DC, where he was a National Correspondent for NBC News Radio.

He has appeared on National Television in the US, the UK and in Pakistan as a reporter and commentator.

Man Kills Acquaintance During Dispute In Prince George's County: Police A 22-year-old man has been arrested after shooting and killing his acquaintance in Suitland, according to police. Markees Mings has been charged with the murder of 29-yer-old Eric Branch-Simpson of Brandywine, Prince George's County Police said. Two Armed Carjacking Suspects In Montgomery County Arrested: Police Two armed carjacking suspects in Silver Spring have been arrested, according to police. Ludwin Barrientos carjacked a BMW 328i outside the Summit Hills Apartments by firing a gun into the air to scare the owner of the vehicle off on Jan. 19, at around 5 p.m., Montgomery County Police said. State Of Emergency Declared Maryland With Foot Of Snow Possible Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan declared a state of emergency and mobilized members of the state's National Guard ahead of a winter storm that is expected to bring up to 12 inches to the lower Eastern Shore. Maryland Girl Faces Criminal Charges In Accidental Shooting Of Teenage Boy: Police A 15-year-old girl faces manslaughter charges after shooting a 16-year-old boy in Oxon Hill, in what police believe was an accident, according to officials. The juvenile girl was handling a firearm at a home in the 4900 block of Glassmanor Drive when it discharged, striking the teenage boy at around 6:00 p.m. on Jan. 26, Prince George's County Police said. Maryland Inmate Attempts Daring Escape In Bathroom, Fights Cops: Police A Montgomery County inmate tried to fight his way out of custody inside of a hospital bathroom, according to police. Steven Ray Beitzel, 31, feigned an illness at Holy Cross Hospital and was escorted to a bathroom by police where he began to assault the deputies when his restraints were taken off on Jan. 25, Montgomery County Police said. Delaware Man Who Died While In Custody Of Maryland State Police Identified A Delaware man who died while in custody of the Maryland State Police has been identified, according to officials. Amar Womack, 64, died while in police custody in Centreville after he was arrested during a traffic stop for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance on Jan. 21, the Office of the Maryland Attorney General said.
