Two Suffer Injuries In Route 59 Crash In Ramapo ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people suffered injuries during a two-car crash on Route 59 around 4:20 p.m. Monday just east of College Road, according to the Ramapo Police.The crash took place when the driver of a white van was making a left turn out of the Chase Bank parking lot and pulled in front of a taxi traveling westbound in the left turn lane, police said. Two people suffered minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Larcenies From Vehicles Reported In Spring Valley ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Spring Valley police responded to multiple calls of car larcenies and a stolen vehicle on Monday throughout the village. Residents from Edison Court, Yale Drive, and Rigaud Road called the police for reports of larcenies from numerous different vehicles, as well as a stolen vehicle, said Officer Matthew Galli. An investigation showed the larcenies occurred during the early morning hours Monday, and that is also when the vehicle was stolen, Galli added. Suspect At Large After Shots Fired In Spring Valley ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Spring Valley police are asking for the public's help in locating the person or people responsible for firing a number of gunshots Sunday on Bethune Boulevard. Officers responded to the area of 119 Bethune Blvd., for a report of shots fired around 10:40 p.m., said Officer Matthew Galli. Witnesses in the area told police they heard three to four gunshots before calling the police. Man Hit, Killed By SUV On Route 304 In New City Crash ID'd ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A pedestrian killed in New City on Friday night after being hit by an SUV has been identified as a 68-year-old resident of New City, according to the Clarkstown Police. Frederick Maehrlein was hit near the intersection of Route 304 and Congers Road, around 7:30 p.m., closing the roadway for several hours during an accident investigation, said Officer Peter Walker.
