Parking Alert Issued For Port Chester PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Port Chester residents should take note that parking restrictions will be in place on Tuesday on Grace Church Street for sewer work. The "no parking" restriction will run 6 p.m. until 4 a.m. from Greenwood Avenue to Midland Avenue due to on-going sewer work, town officials said.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  Route 303 was closed in both directions in Valley Cottage from Lake Road to Palisades Center Drive after a three-vehicle crash that involved one fatality and serious injuries, according to the Clarkstown Police. The crash, which occurred around 3:43 p.m. Monday on Route 303 in the area of Storms Road, included two trucks and a car, said Officer Peter Walker.  In an effort to assist with the investigation, the police drone was launched for an aerial view and video.  Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Female Bicyclist Hit By Car In Croton WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A female bicyclist was hit by a car around 4:20 p.m. Monday on Municipal Place and South Riverside Avenue in Croton-on-Hudson, according to Croton-on-Hudson Police. The cyclist received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, said Sgt. Ex-Poughkeepsie Resident Fined $1.2M In Slave Reparations Tax Fraud Scheme A former Poughkeepsie resident was sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined $1.2 million for filing false tax returns for slave reparations on behalf of family members, said Joon H. Kim, the acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Damyon Shuler, 47, of Orange City, Fla., pleaded guilty in April to the charges and was sentenced on Friday, Kim said. Hyde Park Teen Nabbed On Bench Warrant For Petit Larceny A Hyde Park woman is behind bars after being nabbed on a bench warrant for petit larceny and conspiracy by the Town of Lloyd Police. Sandra Acree, 18, was arrested in June for stealing merchandise from a liquor store, said Lt. James Janson. A warrant was issued for her arrest after she failed to show up in court to answer the charges, he added. Lloyd police picked her up on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and she was arraigned before Town of Lloyd Judge Eugene Rizzo. She is being held at the Ulster County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.

Officers from the local precinct took their cars to the fundraiser on Green Street to make sure it was a successful event. Lots of locals also showed up to help support the school.
