School Bus Driver Fell Asleep Before Crashing Into Howell House, No Children On Board: Police A 22-year-old bus driver is suspected to have fallen asleep at the wheel before crashing into a house in Howell, authorities said. The crash into the side of a house occurred at about 7:15 a.m. on Asbury Road. Lt. Christian Antunez, a Howell Police Department spokesman, said the driver was injured but no children were on board. The driver was later charged with careless driving and not wearing a seatbelt, he said. The driver had just dropped students off at Howell High School, he said. Tickets Issued In Lakewood School Bus Crash, 6th Crash Since September: Police A Lakewood school bus carrying three children collided with a car in which both drivers were ticketed, authorities said. Two people in the car were hospitalized.
