Mark Carey Jr. Arrest An arrest has been made in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead over the weekend in Ocean County, authorities said. Mark Carey, Jr., 19, of South Amboy, is believed to have been driving the  1999 Ford Explorer that struck a female pedestrian in the shoulder of Route 35 south and Bay Avenue in Brick Township around 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Brick Township Chief of Police David Forrester said.
