The family of a 56-year-old Morris County man says he was changing a tire on the way home from a wedding when he was struck and killed by a vehicle on the shoulder of Route 280 last month. Valerian Kapanadze, a Hackettstown resident, has since been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide in connection with the incident in Roseland, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Nicheporuck and his wife, Fabi, were coming home from a wedding when the incident occurred, his family said on a GoFundMe campaign. Driver Jailed In Fatal New Year's Crash On I-280 Shoulder
A New Jersey driver was arrested in a fatal crash on Route 280 New Year's Eve, authorities said. Valerian Kapanadze was charged with child endangerment, evidence tampering, and vehicular homicide in the Roseland crash that killed 56-year-old Luis Nicheporuck, of Randolph on Sunday, Dec. 31, New Jersey State Police said. A 30-year-old West Orange man died in a crash on the Garden State Parkway earlier this week. Craig Waldron was heading north when his GMC SUV ran off the roadway to the left, went down an embankment and struck several trees in Bloomfield Tuesday morning, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said. A 33-year-old motorcyclist from Roseland was struck and killed over the weekend on Route 21 in Passaic, authorities confirmed Monday. The West Essex Regional School District has transitioned back to remote learning, NorthJersey.com reports citing an email to parents. Newark Motorcyclist Dead In I-280 Crash
A 33-year-old motorcyclist was killed after his bike overturned in on I-280 in Roseland, authorities said. Charles L. Henderson III was headed westbound when his Harley Davidson overturned, ejecting him near milepost 5.4 in around 2:40 p.m. Friday, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Family of the Westfield High School principal who died following an attempt to harvest his bone marrow for donation are suing Hackensack University Medical Center. Derrick Nelson, a 20-year veteran of the Army reserves, was planning on making the donation to a French teenager.
