The driver was traveling down Route 80 westbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree near milepost 38.4 just after 6:05 p.m., NJSP Trooper Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The driver was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. No passengers were inside the vehicle, and no other cars were involved, authorities said. 5 Hospitalized In Route 80 Crash A driver and four passengers were hospitalized after their sedan crashed Saturday on Route 80, authorities said. The group was headed eastbound when the driver lost control of the Volkswagen Jetta in Totowa between the Minnisink and Squirrelwood road exits around 10:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. The sedan slammed the left guard rail, injuring all of the occupants, Peele said. None of the injuries appeared life-threatening, he added. State Police were investigating, he said.

Maywood Woman, 41, Killed In Christmas Crash On NJ Turnpike A 41-year-old Maywood woman was killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike overnight Christmas Eve, authorities said. Kelly Bey was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry, and she stopped in the center lane near milepost 120 in Teaneck, when she was struck by a Lexus SUV just before 1 a.m. Friday, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Bey was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Lexus sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  The cause of the crash remained under investigation as of 4:45 p.m. Friday.

The truck overturned near milepost 29.8 between Lebanon and Bedminster, causing the tires and debris inside to spill onto the road shortly before 6:30 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. All lanes were re-opened around 9:30 a.m., Peele said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
