6-Car Crash Kills 41-Year-Old On Garden State Parkway: State Police
A 41-year-old North Carolina man was killed in a multi-car crash on the Garden State Parkway in Essex County early Wednesday, April 17, authorities said. Tarron Francis was heading north in a Nissan SUV when he was struck by a Dodge passenger vehicle around 12:45 a.m. in Irvington, said Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police. A 27-year-old Irvington woman was fatally struck by a truck while she was standing by her disabled vehicle on the shoulder on Route 80 in Warren County on the morning of Monday, April 8, authorities said. At 8:21 a.m., a Honda was parked and disabled on the right shoulder of I-80 in Hardwick Township when a tractor trailer traveling east struck Valdaishi Simpkins, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
