The blaze broke out around 1:20 p.m. at an industrial building off MLK Avenue in the Collinsville section of Morris Township, the Fairchild Fire Company said.

Crews arrived and found the building fully involved, leading to the transmission of a second alarm “as a precaution due to the fire load/contents inside,” the department said.

The fire was quickly doused, though a “large ventilation effort” was required to clear the smoke from the nearly 740,000-square-foot warehouse.

Assisting agencies include the Hillside Hose Company, Woodland Hook & Ladder Company, Hanover Township FMBA Local #109, Cedar Knolls Fire Department, the Borough of Madison New Jersey/Madison Fire Department, Morristown FMBA 43, Morris Plains Fire Dept, Brookside Engine Company 1, Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department and the Randolph Township Fire Department 4th Battalion Ironia.
