Heroes: K-9, Jersey Shore Police Rescue 'Suicidal' Runaway A police K-9 dog and his handler rescued someone who was suicidal and had run away, authorities said. The person had fled his residence in distress last week, Marlboro Township police said.  After about 90 minutes of searching area woods, K-9 handler, Patrolman Joshua Abrahamson and his partner, Bolo, were able to guide patrol officers to a spot where the subject was found unharmed, police said. "We would like to commend Bolo and all the officers involved that helped lead this incident to a successful outcome," the police department said on Instagram and Facebook.

Marlboro Township police received a 9-1-1 phone call on Saturday night Feb. 19 from a resident on Amagansett Drive who stated their 2-month-old baby was not breathing.  Immediately, Communications Operator Anthony Garrell gave CPR instructions over the phone to the baby’s father while Communications Operators Lauren Guiamano and Asher Cantor dispatched police officers and EMS to the scene. Route 9 was closed in both directions in Marlboro and Manalapan townships after the fatal one-car crash at 1 p.m. toppled wires onto four other vehicles, a Marlboro police spokesman said. School Lockdown In Morganville A school in Monmouth County was locked down Thursday afternoon, according to reports. Marlboro Township police confirmed they were called to CPC High Point School in Morganville at 3 p.m. for an unknown incident, but could not report any other details. Circumstances prompting the lockdown were unknown. Initial unconfirmed reports said the call appears to be a false alarm but that, as a precaution, police were clearing the school at 1 High Point Center Way in Morganville.
