'Free-Spirited' NJ Dad Killed In Crash, Mom Hospitalized In ICU A family is rallying to support Ocean County children whose father was killed in a crash and mother, his wife, seriously injured. State police said 34-year-old George Francis of Lanoka Harbor died when his SUV drove off the Garden State Parkway south at around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 25. The crash happened near mile marker 68.2 in Barnegat.
