Tornado Watch In Effect For South Jersey
A tornado watch is in effect for 10 counties in New Jersey until 11 p.m. Monday Aug. 7, according to the National Weather Service. The tornado watch includes Mercer, Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties, the NWS said. Also, the tornado warning was extended to Hunterdon and Warren counties. There also is a watch for severe thunderstorms from Cumberland County north to Trenton. Authorities are investigating the cause of a Somerset County fire that hurt two residents, one critically. Up to three inches of rain, flash flooding and damaging winds were expected Thursday across New Jersey.
