Authorities have identified the Monmouth County motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Route 18 in Colts Neck, authorities said. Vladimir Gorelov, 20, of Eatontown, died in the wreck on Tuesday, Apr. 9, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said. Police activity that closed Route 42 in Bellmawr for hours has come to an end. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. "We were able to get the individual some help," said New Jersey State Trooper, who declined to provide further details. A dump truck overturned on Route 18 South in Monmouth County, shutting down the road during morning rush hour, authorities said. The NJDOT said it happened in Marlboro south of exit 30 and Route 9 at around 8:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 12. Crews Hoist Vehicle That Veered Off Garden State Parkway
A vehicle that veered off of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River was hoisted back on the roadway on Wednesday, Jan. 3. The NJDOT says it happened north of the Toms River toll plaza just after 8:30 a.m. A traffic camera showed a car lifted onto a tow truck bed near mile marker 85 about 90 minutes after the incident was first reported. Pedestrian Struck, Airlifted In Ocean County
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Toms River this weekend. On Sunday, April 23, at approximately 6:10 p.m., multiple police and EMS units were dispatched to the intersection of Route 37 and Hawser Place for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. A bicyclist was found by the side of the road by a passerby in Central Jersey, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The rider may have been struck by a hit-and-run driver, initial reports said. The crash was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at Nathaniel Street and Schoolhouse Road in Monroe Township. Truck Crash Jams Route 17
A driver escaped serious injury when a box truck crashed early Friday on Route 17 in Paramus. The driver got out under his own steam after the truck hit a pole and a tree, landing on its side on the northbound highway outside the Trader Joe's near the Midland Avenue exit shortly before 6:30 a.m. The right and center lanes were temporarily closed as a heavy duty wrecker righted and removed the truck. Brick Officers Struck By Car Breaking Up Wild House Party
A pair of Brick Township police officers breaking up a wild house party and street revelers were struck by a vehicle -- sending one of the officers to the hospital, authorities said. A 70-year-old pedestrian was struck by a turning vehicle Thursday afternoon in Palisades Park. The 27-year-old borough driver was making a left from East Edsall Boulevard when his Volkswagen Jetta struck the woman, also from Palisades Park, as she crossed Bergen Boulevard, responders said. Hackensack PD: Traffic Light Toppled In Red Light Rollover Crash
A crash caused when a driver ran a red light toppled a traffic light Tuesday morning in Hackensack, authorities said. The 50-year-old Nissan Pathfinder driver from Hackensack was headed south on Summit Avenue when he ignored the red light at Central Avenue, Lt. Anthony Natale said.
