SUV Crash Knocks Out Power, Shuts Down Road In South Jersey: Police An SUV crashed into a utility pole in Monmouth County, shutting down a road and knocking out power, authorities said. In a Facebook post, Wall Township police said a vehicle hit the pole along Hospital Road at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 25. No injuries were reported in the crash. A photo from Wall police showed an SUV lying on its left side in the middle of the road. Two utility poles were leaning and there was also damage to a nearby fence. The online memorial said McTague died while walking his dog on Wednesday, Jan. 10. He was born in Jersey City and grew up on the Jersey Shore in Spring Lake Heights. Power Outage Hits 27K Customers In Monmouth County About 27,000 electric customers were without power Monday morning in southern Monmouth County. The exact cause of the widespread outage was not immediately known. More than half of the homes and businesses had their power restored by noon, according to an outage tracker map provided by Jersey Central Power & Light. Almost all of Manasquan, Sea Girt, Spring Lake and Spring Lake Heights had no power as of 11 a.m. About 40% of Wall Township and 25% of Shrewsbury also were suffering outages. 9 Men Indicted In Child Porn Crackdown, Central Jersey Prosecutor Says A continuing investigation into illegal use of child pornography has resulted in nine indictments this fall in Central Jersey, authorities said. A Monmouth County grand jury this week returned indictments against two defendants charged with crimes involving distribution and/or possession of child sexual abuse materials, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said.
