Propane Truck Crashes Into Chinese Restaurant, 3 Vehicles On Jersey Shore A tractor-trailer carrying propane tanks slammed into a Chinese restaurant at Berkeley Plaza after striking three other vehicles, authorities said. The crash occurred at about 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, Berkeley Township police said. Photos of the crash scene were posted by Exit 80 Scanner News and Ocean County Scanner News. The truck's 57-year-old driver, Todd Giglio, from the Whiting section of Manchester, had suffered a medical episode, police said. 2 Firefighters Hurt Battling Pepsi Co Fire A massive fire erupted Tuesday, March 22 at the Pepsi Co factory in Piscataway. Two firefighters were injured while battling the blaze including one who suffered heat exhaustion and the other a shoulder injury, local officials said. The cause is believed to have been propane tanks exploding. The fire was under control early Wednesday.

Weekend Explosion Damages Three Middlesex County Homes An explosion related to an early-morning fire damaged three Central Jersey homes over the weekend. Helmetta's volunteer firefighters responded to 1 High St. around 3 a.m. Sunday, and put out the fire that broke out. The subsequent explosion was caused by propane tanks on a trailer, initial reports says. No injuries were reported, though three homes were damaged, the Helmetta OEM said. The Helmetta Volunteer Fire Department, Fire Marshal’s Office, DPW, Spotswood police, Spotswood EMS, Spotswood OEM, Middlesex County Hazmat, and Sayreville Building Department all responded.
