Shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, members of the Aberdeen Township Police Department responded to the northbound lanes of Route 35 between Prospect Avenue and Amboy Road to find the victim, an adult male resident of Aberdeen. Paul Mount, of Toms River, was in the northbound lane of County Route 571 when he was struck by a black 2018 Ford Explorer and a black 2021 Toyota Highlander around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3 in Manchester Township, local police said. The pedestrian was hit at about 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15 just before the train station, NJ Transit officials said. North Jersey Coast Line train 4398 left Bay Head at 11:34 p.m., destined for Long Branch. It was the final shuttle train of the night. There were six people aboard, officials said. No passengers or crew were hurt. The pedestrian’s name had not been released. New Jersey Transit Police are leading the investigation.

State Police: Girl, 15, Struck And Killed By Car On Route 80 A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by a car on Route 80 early Tuesday morning, state police said.  The girl ran into the road and was hit by an unknown vehicle eastbound near milepost 45.3 in Parsippany-Troy Hills just before 3:30 a.m., NJSP Trooper Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice. The girl was pronounced dead at the scene, Goez said. Her name was not released. The center and right lanes were closed for about three hours during the crash investigation.
