UPDATE: Police were justified in shooting a New Jersey man seen on bodycam video charging at an officer with a knife, a grand jury investigation required by state law found. Luke Mendez, 26, had his wrapped around the knife handle as he barreled down the steps of an Old Bridge home last April 24. A man with a handgun robbed a 7-11 store along Route 9 in Old Bridge, authorities said. The robbery occurred at about 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, according to Old Bridge police spokesman Captain Michael J. Snee.
