Atlantic City Shootings, School Lockdowns End With Fighter's Arrest A shooting in Atlantic City Thursday that prompted lockdowns of schools resulted in one man's arrest, authorities said. Patrol officers responded to the 300 block of North Carolina Avenue for a ShotSpotter alert at 12:35 p.m., according to Atlantic City police. Arriving patrol officers found Edmund Williams, 47, of Atlantic City, suffering from a gunshot wound a block away on Pennsylvania Avenue.  A second victim, 49, also from Atlantic City, was driven to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division. Acpd: 3 Handguns Recovered, 7 Busted In Atlantic City Robbery, Drug Dealing Arrests Atlantic City police arrested seven people and recovered three handguns and an assortment of drugs in separate incidents, authorities said. Just before midnight on Thursday, patrol officers responded to mile marker 55 in the westbound lanes of Route 30 on a report of a one car motor vehicle crash, police said. Atlantic City Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and located an unoccupied vehicle in the marsh, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a police department spokesman.
