Pair Charged With Attempted Murder For Firing At Vehicle In Somerset County: Prosecutor
Two suspects were arrested and charged with attempted murder for firing at a vehicle in Somerset County last year, authorities announced Friday, Sept. 15.
Ikeem Thomas, 20, of Covington, Georgia, and Josiah T. Talbert, 20, of Somerset, were each charged with first-degree attempted murder, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and various weapons offenses stemming from an incident in which they fired at a vehicle near Sunny Slope Road in Bridgewater around 3:30 p.m. on March 1, 2022, Somerset County Prosecutor John P. Khaliyk L. Sellers, 40, was arrested for making terroristic threats, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

A Passaic County woman has been sentenced to six years in state prison for causing the death of an 80-year-old driver from Central Jersey nearly two years ago, authorities said.
Elizabeth Gomez, 44, of Paterson, was sentenced on Wednesday by Superior Court Judge Colleen M. Flynn.
In her Dec. 23, 2019, plea agreement with Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Keith Abrams, Gomez admitted to vehicular homicide and driving while intoxicated, causing the death of Wen-Fu Lin, 80, of East Brunswick, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a statement.
