East Brunswick Motorcycle Officers Injured When Car Turns Directly Into Their Paths: Police Two East Brunswick police officers were injured when their motorcycles collided with a third vehicle Wednesday, May 17, authorities said. Sgts. John Bird and James Angermeier were traveling east on Milltown Road on their bikes when a Honda HR-V making a left turn out of the Wawa parking lot directly into their paths around 4:30 p.m., police said. The Honda HR-V made a left turn from the exit of the Wawa parking lot onto Milltown Road in front of the path of the two motorcycles, police said. The three vehicles collided in the eastbound lane of Milltown Road. Police ID Bicyclist Struck, Killed In Central Jersey A bicyclist was struck and killed by a vehicle in Central Jersey, authorities said. Luis H. Loaiza-Cañas, 64, of South River, was struck shortly before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24 on Old Bridge Turnpike at Milltown Road in East Brunswick, police said. Loaiza-Cañas was pronounced dead at the scene.  An investigation is being conducted by Patrolman Michael McGlynn of the East Brunswick Police Department Special Operations Section under the direction of Chief Frank LoSacco.
