2 Families Displaced By Apartment House Fire In Central Jersey Two families were left homeless by a fire that ripped through a Central Jersey apartment building, authorities said.  The fire broke out at 3:21 p.m. Sunday at Middlesex Village Apartments on Wellington Street. Middlesex police received numerous 9-1-1 calls about smoke at the apartments. Police arrived and found a working structure fire in apartment 51B, which was unoccupied.  Residents in adjacent units were quickly evacuated, police said.
