Vedant Tiru Dies In South Brunswick Crash Police have identified the 23-year-old driver killed in a crash on Route 1 in South Brunswick. Vedant Tiru was in the left lane of Route 1 south near New Road when he lost control, slid sideways across the roadway, and struck a utility pole around 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, South Brunswick police said. Tiru was pronounced dead at the scene. The Kendall Park First Aid, Kendall Park Fire Department, Middlesex County Medical Examiner, and New Jersey State Department of Transportation responded to the crash. On Wednesday, May 31, at 5:35 a.m, South Brunswick police received a 9-1-1 call about a house on fire at 73 Kingsley Road in Kendall Park. Police found a working structure fire in the area of the garage, they said. Police confirmed that the house had been evacuated and that there were no pets inside. Firefighters Battle Fatal Blaze In Central Jersey (Developing) A person was killed in a house fire in Central Jersey, according to developing and unconfirmed reports. The fire broke out at about 9:35 p.m. on Monday, May 16 on Pelham Road in the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick. Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing from a single-story wood-framed house.  Three fire companies battled the blaze, which was their second house fire of the day, South Brunswick police said.
