Police ID Lakewood Driver Killed In Route 9 Crash A 32-year-old man from Lakewood was killed in a collision on Route 9, authorities said. The crash occurred just after 8 a.m., Wednesday, March 9 on Route 9 at Courtney Road, according to Lakewood police spokesman Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith. An Infiniti G37, driven by a 23-year-old Lakewood Township man, was headed north on Route 9 when a Chevy Impala attempted to make a left turn onto Courtney Road, Staffordsmith said. Fabrice Deryce, of Scotch Plains, was heading south in a Chevy Impala when he struck multiple fixed objects around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in Tinton Falls, NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. Driver Killed In Route 23 Rollover Crash A Brooklyn woman was killed Wednesday in a rollover crash on Route 23 in West Milford, authorities confirmed. Rebecca McMahon Adelman, 36, was driving a 2019 Chevy Impala that collided with a 2003 Ford Explorer driven by a 27-year-old Bloomingdale woman at the intersection of Route 23 and Canistear Road shortly before 12:30 p.m. McMahon Adelman was extricated from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, responders said. Phillipsburg Pedestrian Struck On Route 22 Flown To Hospital With Serious Injuries A Phillipsburg man had to be flown to a local hospital after he was hit by a car on Route 22 Friday evening, Clinton Township police said. Jack Lucas, 29, was walking east on Route 22 when he was struck by a white Chevy Impala driven by Kathleen Webster of Lebanon shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, authorities said. Lucas sustained serious injuries and was flown to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment, authorities said. Webster was not injured, authorities said. This investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.
