A repeat offender from South Hackensack relapsed following his release from prison by amassing and sharing 28,000 images of child pornography, said authorities who arrested him on Thursday. Corey Barraclough, 33, was released from the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center in Avenel last October after serving more than 5½ years behind bars. The first 17 months or so were spent in the Bergen County Jail beginning in and the rest in state custody, records show. Man's Suicide Attempt Closes Route 42 For Hours: State Police (

Police activity that closed Route 42 in Bellmawr for hours has come to an end. For seven hours, the man stood on the ledge of the I-295 overpass, closing Route 42 below in both directions on Thursday afternoon, April 4 near Exit 14. "We were able to get the individual some help," said New Jersey State Trooper, who declined to provide further details. Photos at the scene show tractor trailers lined up under the bridge and police speaking to the man, standing on a ledge of the overpass. South Jersey Man Convicted In Ex-Wife's Stabbing Death
A Cherry Hill man accused of killing his ex-wife was found guilty of murder, authorities said. A jury convicted Philip Puche of first-degree murder on Wednesday, April 3 in the fatal stabbing of Nancy Kenny. He also was found guilty of burglary and a weapons offense. Puche, 76, faces life in prison. His sentencing is scheduled for May 17. On July 19, 2020, Puche stabbed Kenny outside of the home she shared with her new husband in Audubon Park, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay. UPDATE: A New Jersey police officer did nothing wrong in pursuing a stolen motorcycle whose driver ended up dying in a subsequent crash, a grand jury has ruled. Despite the obvious circumstances, state law and administrative guidelines required New Jersey Attorney Matthew Platkin to investigate the death last April 20 of John R. Nutt, 41, of Mount Laurel because a law enforcement officer was involved. : 2 Men Found Dead In South Jersey
A pair of men are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Salem County, authorities said. Juniel Feliciano-Lopez, 24, of Pennsville, died of multiple gunshot wounds and was found in a vehicle, according to Salem County Prosecutor Kristin Telsey. The suspected gunman, Henry Junior Kivelier Montero, 23, of Philadelphia, died at the scene of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound, the prosecutor said.
