Strumolo-Burke spent two decades on the town council, representing the 1st ward and lived in Belleville for 45 years. A graduate of Central High School, where she was valedictorian, Strumolo-Burke was founder of the Silver Lake Civic Association and served as Democratic Chairwoman. 'Joker' Sequel Films At Shuttered North Jersey Hospital Batman, beware. The Joker is causing mayhem in Essex County. "Joker: Folie à Deux," the sequel to 2019's "Joker" is filming at the shuttered Essex County Isolation Center this week, Belleville Mayor Michael Melham confirmed.  The hospital is standing in for the infamous Arkham Asylum, where Batman's rogue gallery of villains often end up after causing untold destruction in Gotham City. Residents can expect nearby roads to be closed during filming, while other roads will be only accessible by showing IDs, Melham said. Belleville Post Office Renamed For Korean War Hero When he was 20 years old, Private Henry Svehla charged an enemy position during a battle June 12, 1952, near Pyongony, Korea. The young rifleman “inflicted heavy casualties,” according to a narrative prepared by the Army, but didn’t emerge unscathed: a mortar round detonated nearby, causing serious wounds.
