A wanted man in Cape May County was accused of having drugs, a knife, and a pistol-style BB gun, authorities said. Jonathan Duerr, 30, of Wildwood, was arrested on Sunday, Apr. 14, the Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Apr. 16. His arrest came while officers were investigating a burglary at a home on the 200 block of East Cresse Avenue at around 9:45 p.m. Police spotted Duerr near the corner of Oak Avenue and the city's boardwalk, and he was identified as the burglary suspect. Three people from Cape May County were accused of selling cocaine and having pills, authorities said. Wildwood police arrested three city residents: 49-year-old Karl Abbatiello, 45-year-old Jill Caissie, and 34-year-old Robert Peterson, the department said in a Facebook post. The county's SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home on Garfield Avenue on Friday, Apr. 12. A Pennsylvania man will spend at least two decades in prison for killing two people during an illegal car rally in Wildwood, authorities said. Gerald White, 38, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 8 to 25 years in prison, for killing two people at the violent H2oi car rally in 2022, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced. Hearts shattered when the news broke that a missing swimmer off the Wildwood coast from Pennsylvania was believed to have drowned late last month.
