Authorities ID Woman, 93, Killed In House Fire On Jersey Shore Authorities have identified the woman killed in a house fire in Belmar on Wednesday, March 15, authorities said. Frances Colie, 93, was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.  The fire broke out at about 4 p.m. on the 1700 block of Surf Avenue. There has been no indication of any foul play being involved, the prosecutor's office said. An investigation into the cause and origin of the fire, involving members of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal’s Office, is ongoing.  Multiple fire departments res…

Belmar lifeguards and Water Rescue members rushed to the area off the 8th Avenue jetty around 12:30 p.m. Monday after beachgoers tried in vain to rescue a group of distressed swimmers, police said. Dogs Missing, Police Officer Hurt From Monmouth House Fire Two dogs remain missing from a home that suffered a serious fire on Thursday, authorities said. Police and fire officials have been unable to locate the family dogs -- either dead or alive. At 11:05 a.m., Marlboro Township Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from the homeowner at 33 Regina Road in the Morganville section of Marlboro, according to Capt. Stephen J.
