A doctor from Hillsdale was arrested by federal agents for prescribing oxycodone for illegal use from her Paterson office, authorities said. Phony patients for whom Lisa Ferraro, 65, wrote scripts included two people who were locked up, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger said. : NJ Boy, 17, Drowns In Backyard Pool
A 17-year-old Bergen County boy drowned in a backyard pool as the 2023 Fourth of July holiday period was about to begin, authorities confirmed. The boy's father conducted CPR after finding the lifeless teen behind their Hillsdale home shortly before 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 28. A rig from the Township of Washington Volunteer Ambulance Corps was requested and the boy was transported to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, responders said. Firefighters, Police Team Up To Rescue Dog In NJ House Fire
Firefighters and police teamed up to rescue a dog who was pulled from a smoky house fire Saturday night in Hillsdale. Paul Corra was found in Middlesex County, Washington Township Police Chief Richard Skinner said early Friday, April 29. : Search Ends For Missing Jersey Shore Woman, 66, With Bergen County Family
A 66-year-old Lakewood woman with family in Bergen County was found in a Brooklyn hospital after she'd been missing more than a month, authorities told Daily Voice early Friday. Dale Murberg, 66, was safe and being reunited with family, they said. A massive search began after Murberg left the Lexington Rest Home on 7th Street in Lakewood on April 18.
