2 Suspicious New Year's Day Deaths Investigated In Atlantic City: Prosecutor The deaths of two men on New Year’s Day in different parts of Atlantic City are being investigated, authorities said. Both deaths are considered suspicious, but are unrelated, they said. Vincent O’Brien III, 50, was found bleeding on the first block of South California Avenue at about 6:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 1, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said. Pleasantville Man, 45, Shot Dead: Prosecutor A 45-year-old man was shot and killed in Pleasantville, authorities said. Mamadou Toure, of Pleasantville, was killed in the shooting, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. On Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at approximately 8:40 a.m., a shooting occurred at West Pleasant Avenue and Main Street, the prosecutor said. Authorities ID Atlantic City Stabbing Victim Authorities have released the name of an Atlantic City stabbing victim. Dwight Hutchinson, 65, was found by police unresponsive on Sunday, June 5 at about 2:20 p.m. on North Kentucky Avenue, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds. Medical personnel arrived but were unable to revive Hutchinson. Hutchinson was pronounced dead at the scene, Reynolds said. An autopsy was completed by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office and the cause of death was ruled to be injuries sustained by a stab wound, Reynolds said. 'Fly' Dad Of 4 Killed In Atlantic County Shooting Authorities have identified the 41-year-old man who was shot and killed in South Jersey. Police received a shot spotter call in connection with the incident at 914 North Main St. in Pleasantville, at 9:19 a.m. Saturday. Ivan Smith of Somers Point was found laying on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. Victim, 35, Gunned Down In Atlantic City A 35-year-old man from Atlantic City was fatally shot, authorities said. The shooting occurred at 4:04 a.m. Sunday on South Georgia Avenue, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill Atlantic City police responded to a 9-1-1 call about the shooting, Shill said.  When police arrived, they found a man fatally shot.
