South Jersey Man Seriously Injured In Atlantic City Shooting
A Camden County man was shot and injured in a shooting in Atlantic City, authorities said. Atlantic City police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on the first block of South Bellevue Avenue at around 8:49 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 15, the department said in a news release. Officers found a 42-year-old Laurel Springs man who had been shot. He was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, with serious injuries. Three People Displaced, Firefighter Injured In Ocean City House Fire
Three people were without a home and a firefighter was injured after a house caught fire in Ocean City, officials said. Ocean City firefighters responded to the fire on the 1400 block of Simpson Avenue at around 4:46 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 15, the city said in a news release. Crews arrived within three minutes and found a large fire on the building's second floor. Marmora and Margate City firefighters also helped out the Ocean City Fire Department. South Jersey Man Killed In Crash Into Delaware River
A Gloucester County man was killed after his car crashed into the Delaware River in Salem County, authorities said. The 23-year-old man from Monroeville died in the crash at Industrial Park Road and Riviera Drive at about 8 a.m. Saturday, April 13, Pennsville Township police said. His name had not been released. First responders found the vehicle overturned in the river.

Police ID College Student Killed In I-295 Crash
Authorities have identified the 20-year-old driver killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 in Mercer County. Samuel Beale, of the Kenvil section of Roxbury, was driving a Nissan SUV northbound near milepost 60.6 in Hamilton shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, April 14, when he veered off the highway to the left and struck a concrete bridge support and guardrail, New Jersey State Police said. Beale was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. Beale was a sophomore economics major at Rider University in Lawrenceville, according to his LinkedIn.com profile.

Motorcyclist Killed In South Jersey Crash:

A 60-year-old motorcyclist was killed when he veered off a Cumberland County road and struck a tree and utility pole, authorities said. William Rannels, of Fairfield Township, was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound on Back Neck Road in Fairfield at about 7 p.m. Sunday, April 14 when he ran off the roadway, New Jersey State Police said. Rannels sustained fatal injuries, State Police said. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Firefighters from multiple companies were working to contain a 10-mile stretch of wildfires in Camden County on Monday evening, April 15. More than 20 individual fires broke out across Winslow Township, spanning from Berlin-Cross Keys to Ancora State Hospital, the state's wildfire service said. A Toms River toddler was injured when she ran into a road and was hit by an SUV, authorities said. Toms River police responded to a report of a pedestrian crash involving a toddler on Clayton Avenue at around 1:24 p.m. on Sunday, Apr. 14, a police department spokesperson said.
