'Remorseless' Attempted Murderer Sentenced To Prison Time In Maryland
Citing “predatory behavior,” a judge sentenced a Pennsylvania man to more than a decade behind bars in Maryland for attempting to run down his victim in May last year, authorities announced.
Pennsylvania resident Jeffrey Scott Osborne, 50, of Kemblesville, has been sentenced to 30 years, with all but 13 years suspended for attempted second-degree murder, Judge Mark Chandlee ordered.
In addition to his prison term, Osborne was ordered to serve five years of supervised probation upon his release, which cannot happen until he has served at least half his sentence, Chandlee said.

Sixteen years after a young woman was found killed on I-70 in Frederick County, a suspect has been apprehended for her murder, state police announced.
White Springs, Florida resident Garry Artman, 64, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and second-degree assault for allegedly killing Dusty Myriah Shuck, 24, of Silver City, New Mexico in May 2006.
On May 4, 2006, Shuck’s body was discovered near a Frederick County rest stop by a passing motorist, according to police. She had last been seen at a New Mexico hotel on April 24, 2006.

DC Police Seek Suspect Who Shot, Killed 32-Year-Old In 2021
D.C. police have identified the suspect they are looking for in connection to a 2021 fatal shooting, officials said.On August 23, 2021, at around 2:30 a.m., Ali Al-Mahdi was found in the 1800 Block of 9th Street suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Al-Mahdi was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities reported.
The suspect was identified as 26-year-old Deonte Patterson, who is wanted for second degree murder while armed, police said.

A DC man has been charged with murder following the death of a baby who accidentally shot himself after getting ahold of an unsecured gun, authorities say.
Legend Wheeler, 1, was pronounced dead after accidentally shooting himself in a home in the 2300 block of Chester Street, Southeast on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, according to Metropolitan police.
