An inmate already in trouble with the law for shenanigans at a local prison is facing a fresh fresh charges for scheming to break out in Maryland. Jose Miguel Tapia, 38, who was already charged in connection to a drone contraband conspiracy at the Roxbury Correctional Institution (RCI) in Hagerstown, continues to plot, despite being behind bars, according to the Attorney General's Office. The 32-year-old man who was convicted of murdering rapper Jahandar Darvish earlier this year in Montgomery County will spend decades in prison, according to authorities. On Tuesday, the Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office announced that Frederick resident Mario Samm has been sentenced to 60 years in prison with all but 55 years to serve, followed by five years of probation for his role in the 25-year-old Darvish's death in December 2021. A 21-year-old Maryland college student was killed in Washington DC, those who knew the victim said. Alison Cienfuegos-Vasquez, of Temple Hills, MD, was shot around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, in the 1200 block of Valley Avenue, Southeast, DC Metro police said. She was later pronounced dead. Alison's mom tells NBC Washington that her daughter was planning to meet a man she met on Instagram at the Wheeler Terrace Apartments, but was in the "wrong place at the wrong time" when gunfire rang out. A Maryland man recently convicted of killing a rapper in front of his own home was captured dancing with the gun he used in the slaying on social media. Mario Samm, 22, of Frederick, on Friday, April 14 was found guilty of second-degree murder of 25-year-old Jahandar Darvish, the Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy said.
