An investigation in the nation's capital has been launched after several schools received similar bomb threats on Wednesday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators are probing a bomb threat that was emailed to several schools in DC shortly before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10. Police say that the department is coordinating with DC public and charter schools to ensure the safety of students and staff. Teachers 'Unsatisfied' With Their Jobs, More Than Half Plan To Leave
Four out of five members of the Washington Teachers' Union are not satisfied with their jobs, according to a new survey. The Washington Teacher's Union released a survey on Tuesday, Oct. 25 that showed the dissatisfaction members are feeling toward their jobs as contract negotiations with D.C. Public Schools have stalled. Out of 4,300 public school teachers, 629 were surveyed in September. Investigation Launched After Teacher Reportedly Locked DC Elementary Student In School Closet
D.C. Public Schools and the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating reports about child who was allegedly locked in a closet by a teacher at looking into reports that a teacher, reports WJLA. The student was reportedly locked in a closet at Lawrence Boone Elementary School at 2200 Minnesota Avenue Southeast.
