First, 33-year-old Jasmine Burrell, of Mattapan, was shot and killed in the area of 40 Fairlawn Avenue around 4:47 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23.

Then, 21-year-old Christian Thistle-Kavanaugh, of Dorchester, was shot and killed in the area of 483 Geneva Avenue in Dorchester around 10:30 p.m. the same day.

Both incidents follow the shooting death of 36-year-old Daniel "Danny" Sanders in Dorchester on Saturday.

“The three gun deaths in Boston this weekend along with the shooting death of another woman just a week ago have stunned and saddened us all," Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.

"Our communities are strong, but the constant flow of illegal firearms into the hands of people happy to pull a trigger has a terribly corrosive effect," Hayden continued. "I thank everyone who is working to address these acts of violence and I hope our combined efforts can reduce these shocking events.”

The investigation into all shootings is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Boston Police at (617) 343-4470.
